About the event
NIKKA Japanese WHISKY EXPERIENCE with paired canapés
Thursday 16th January
In 1918, a young Japanese man with an ambition to make genuine whisky went alone to Scotland to unveil the secret of whisky making. He is Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky. The first Japanese ever to master how to make whisky.
In 1934 he went north and built his first distillery in Yoichi, Hokkaido. Where the environmental conditions were in many ways similar to those of Scotland with a cool climate, crisp air and appropriate humidity.
Taste a flavourful range of five Nikka expressions perfectly paired with our executive chef's alchemic canapés. Learn all about the making of these whiskies and ask the brand ambassador any questions you might have about what makes Nikka so special.
Tickets include all tastings, canapés and a take-home bottle of Nikka from the Barrel.
