Babylon is proud to announce 5 piece group Uptown will be playing Sunday 26th of January.ย

Having performed extensively in venues and clubs around Australia since 2012, this Newcastle based 5-piece have also been one of the Hunter Valleys most popular acts. Their sound is funky, and ever so fresh with a great list of party anthems that will have you up shaking it and the dance floor begging for mercy!

Uptown features Lucy Clifton as lead vocalist. Lucy is a high-energy performer with an extraordinary reputation, vast performance history and great following throughout Newcastle and The Hunter region. She is best known for being the lead star in Tina Turner- A Journey in Song and Dance. Certainly not a stranger in the spotlight, Lucyโ€™s professionalism shows when she takes the stage, steals the show and naturally rocks Uptown gigs with her flawless vocal performances and soulful tone.

Uptownโ€™s Rhythm Section consists of Ben McCann on guitar, Ben Pittman on bass, Jesse Schadel on keys and Angus Geraghty on drums. These in-demand session musicians are prominent in the Australian music scene and full time music educators. Their collaborated sound is rich, dense and packed full of groove. Each and every uptown gig they put their incredible musicianship on display as they jam out their multi-genre repertoire of funky party hits
